Openness to explore and curiosity to discover new things is what first attracts to the PanoMaticLunar. In the classic 40 mm circular case with its traditional leather strap, one notices the unusual asymmetric dial with its intricate off-centre hour and minute hands, its prominent small second display, the characteristic Panorama Date display at 4 o’clock and its cleverly rendered moon phase indicator. Each detail draws the eye closer to the craftmanship of the dial, making you aware of the time and energy spent creating the face of this masterful timepiece. The colour gradient on the hand-crafted dial is particularly eyecatching: starting from an intense dark green in the centre, the colour changes gradually to black at the edges.
For a person who recognises beauty in the smallest details, it would be easy to get lost in these tiny touches. However, it is also an invitation to discover everything the PanoMaticLunar has to offer - the subtle details and the bold bigger picture.
Defining details
The see-through sapphire crystal case back offers a clear view of the exquisitely finished manufactory 90-02 automatic movement with its off-centre rotor. Glashütte Original’s signature duplex swan-neck fine adjustment along with numerous other elements of authentic Glashütte watchmaking provide additional evidence of their unmistakable origin.
The red gold case and crown are polished to perfection and offer a warm contrast to the rich, deep green of the dial; the glossy alligator leather strap in green is the lush, opulent finishing touch to a harmonious presentation.
The sharpened senses that allowed to notice the details on the PanoMaticLunar dial are the same senses that take inspiration from the wider world and to understand the exceptional qualities of this very special piece in our collection.
